Starting Monday, October 19th, 2020 we will offer virtual sessions to assist you to complete a Central Piedmont Application. You will meet with a staff and current students that can assist you with any Central Piedmont application or enrollment related questions. Each session will be held via a live Webex webinar. Students, grades 10 – 12, YOU have a unique opportunity to apply for an internship opportunity this fall! Winternship, built by Radius Learning, sponsored by CMS-CTE and the City of Charlotte Youth Programs is offering YOU a virtual opportunity like no other.
From Monday, November 9th through Friday, December 11th, YOU will apply what you have been learning in CTE classes/pathways to solve real-challenges in the Charlotte area. Winternship provides: · Skill Development – aligned with jobs in demand · Work-based Tasks – to gain hands-on experience · Industry Engagement – to increase exposure to careers YOU can choose from the following pathways/industries of interest: · Advanced Manufacturing · Business/Finance · Health · Innovation (think Entrepreneurship) · Technology Enrollment for the program begins today, October 9th and closes on Friday, October 23rd. YOU have the ability to earn $400 as you experiment with a future career and exercise your independence through 50 hours of self-paced learning modules and work tasks over the five week internship. There will be adult support to guide and motivate YOU along the way. This is a WIN-WIN, LEARN & EARN situation!
