North Carolina's Career & College Promise (CCP) program allows eligible high school students to enroll in college classes at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC). Students who complete college courses earn college credit they can take with them after graduation. In many cases, students earn dual credit by meeting high school graduation requirements with college courses.
What are the eligibility requirements for CCP? If any student meets the below eligibility and has strong self-discipline (motivated) to learn, they may consider enrolling in CCP courses at Central Piedmont Community College.
Career and College Promise is an EXCELLENT substitute if a student is unable to take Advanced Placement (AP) classes at Harding. Also, why not get DUAL CREDIT (high school transcript plus college transcript?) Contact Mr. Rattley https://goo.gl/QgGFHv ASAP if you are interested in registering for SPRING 2021. NOTE: There may also be a few 8 or 12-week classes left this semester.

Mayor's Youth Employment Program
MYEP provides career and professional development experiences to eligible and accepted youth through a part-time internship or job placements. Host employers participate with the MYEP by offering positions that align with either an internship or job experience for MYEP-accepted youth. Mr. Rattley is currently seeking students that are interested in having a PAID INTERNSHIP during the Summer of 2021. Students will not only be earning money, but they will be gaining experiences and they can use it as a resume builder. The Mayor Youth Employment Program (MYEP) participants explore careers, skills, and gain exposure to models of professionalism, creating pathways to attainable career goals while getting PAID! PLEASE SHARE or COMPLETE Mr. Rattley’s form or click https://tinyurl.com/huhsmyep21 , so that he can help guide to start the process. DEADLINE is September 30, 2020. This is an exciting new opportunity in the Charlotte area for high school students looking to gain leadership skills: St. Jude Leadership Society – Charlotte.
St. Jude Leadership Society is a membership of high performing students who share a passion for leadership, service and community. Members participate in a series of leadership development sessions that engage a variety of community and corporate leaders. Sessions are held on a monthly basis and will kick off in early 2021. They are inspired by St. Jude founder Danny Thomas and focus on leadership traits such as good citizenship, gratitude, grit, integrity, empathy and courage. I’ve attached a flyer that gives a high level overview of the St. Jude Leadership Society program and am happy to answer any questions that you have!
